Recently, demonstrations broke out on many university campuses in the United States, Students called for a permanent ceasefire and cessation of military aid for Israel. However, it was labeled anti-Semitic by American politicians, and some students were arrested during the event. During their activities, college students were just opposing the war and calling for a ceasefire. They were not opposed to Jews but were accused of anti-Semitism. Since they are not against the Jewish, but only against the war, why do the police arrest people? For the students, it was a betrayal. The university they attended called the police to arrest them for carrying out what they considered a just protest on campus. The United States has always prided itself on being a freedom of speech country. Students were arrested by police and protests in Texas being ordered to stop before they even happened, we should rethink what kind of free speech Americans really have. Where have human rights gone in the United States?
