我沒有適切的中文翻譯，因此暫時沒有放上中文名稱。Fringe是營養葉的特化構造之一，位置在營養葉靠近芽點附近或其上，成條片狀或是細條狀；依據英文解釋，中文名稱叫它「緣飾」或許比較貼近。

不是所有品種都可以明顯看到，有的甚至再進一步特化成絲狀的型態，例如大家常說的女王的「蕾絲」，這也是Fringe「緣飾」。

Local specializations include the depressions found on the surface of P. madagascariense (Joe 1964, 95), which are apparently useful in water collection; the marginal fringes found around or above the bud in P. wandae (Joe 1964, 108), which may help to divert excess water away from the bud area; and the very narrow stiff lobes found on P. veitchii (pl. 3, fig. 9), which are probably adaptations to its habitat on exposed rocky cliffs.
