1. Introduction:

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (NIV, Gal. 5:19–21)

Witchcraft (occult): Using spirits other than the Holy Spirit to control others and make them do what you want them to do:

1. Witchcraft is the work of the flesh.

2. Witchcraft is the work of evil spirits.

3. Witchcraft has no love and will ultimately lead to people’s destruction.

1. Rebellion and stubbornness

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”(NIV, 1 Samuel 15:23)

Samuel was a descendant of Korah, and he knew very well that Korah had gathered a group of 250 famous leaders to attack Moses and Aaron. This rebellious and stubborn act was the same as practicing witchcraft and idolatry. Their tragic end came when the ground split open in an instant and they all fell into the pit of Hades.

Likewise, if brothers and sisters quarrel or form factions, and use all kinds of illegal means to slander and attack the shepherds by giving false testimony, such rebellious and stubborn sins are witchcraft and idolatry. Such people will never inherit the kingdom of God.

2. Curse, Divination

Through objects, people are exposed to the power of evil:

Mascots, charms, superstitions, black cats, owls, crows, lucky cats, and some souvenirs of unknown origin are all things that should be destroyed, as they contain curses from evil spirits.

3. Music and dancing

Rock music, Mexican Mariachi, rap, reggae style music… these are the music that the Lord Jesus does not like.

We can also use scientific methods to test the energy of music. A score over 200 is positive energy. The energy of music from the 1980s and jazz is only around 200 to 300 points; classical music by Beethoven and Mozart has more than 900 points; heavy metal, rap, and pop music are all below 200 points.

Nowadays, many online games have computer-synthesized background music. Listening to it too much is harmful and can make people cold-blooded.

4. Ouija

A brother testified that he and several classmates played Ouija board games and talked with evil spirits. After the game was over, they tried to ask the evil spirit to leave, but it refused to leave. One of the students asked the evil spirit how to make it go away. Unexpectedly, the spirit replied, “I want your life!” The student was shocked and at a loss. In a panic, he tried to throw the plate away, but the plate was stuck to his finger. Finally, he pulled it out with all his strength. Finally he threw the plate away, but a piece of skin on his finger was still stuck to the plate.

A few days later, when this classmate was standing on the road, a motorcycle suddenly had an accident, rolled on the ground for several rounds, and finally hit him directly and violently. He died on the spot, alas! It shows how scary it is to play with the Ouija board. Once you attract evil spirits, you may even lose your life!

5. Hypnosis

Hypnosis is another door through which evil spirits can enter. The will of the hypnotized person is controlled by the hypnotist; the former receives all the evil spirits sent by the latter and they directly enter the human body. Hypnotists use evil spirits to manipulate the people they hypnotize. They attract people by claiming they can help them cure illnesses, such as quitting smoking, losing weight, sleeping, and falling asleep. This is a trick of Satan.

6. Meditation, sitting meditation, yoga, qigong

Eastern religions’ meditation, sitting in silence, yoga, qigong… all include the element of meditation. Meditation is about emptying your mind and removing all thoughts. They believe that meditation is a way to train the mind, through which chaotic thoughts can be settled and the inner voice can be heard. When people don’t think about anything, they open a door and allow evil spirits to invade directly; then you hear the inner voice, which comes from the devil.

When Christians read the Bible, they do not empty their minds, but meditate on God’s words at all times; this is a form of active reading, learning, and memorization. The Bible says, I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. (NIV, Psalm 119:15) “I meditate on” means taking the initiative; taking the initiative to meditate on God’s precepts and consider God’s ways does not mean emptying your mind. God wants us to control every thought and remember the words of the Bible; if you don’t control your mind, Satan will control it for you.

⑴. Meditation

Those who learn to meditate and sit in silence are deceived by the devil and believe that there are gods and Buddhas in the universe and that they can contact higher spirits through meditation. As a result, they all attract evil spirits. There was a lady who was an atheist and did not believe in ghosts or gods, let alone worship. However, when she participated in a meditation retreat, her body shook involuntarily, and the person who taught her said that she had come into contact with a guardian spirit. In fact, she was possessed by a devil, and the evil spirit was absorbing the energy from her without her knowing it! Many people like this will soon become sick, get cancer, and die.

⑵ Qigong

A Master’s Testimony:

People are often seen practicing Qigong (Tai Chi, Human Electric Qigong, Chinese Incense Kung…) in parks. The practitioners look like immortals. Is this really the case? A master who is highly skilled in martial arts and has also learned qigong made the dangerous inside story of qigong public. People who practice qigong send out their energy, which only goes out but not in; at this time the group of evil spirits nearby are the happiest, absorbing the energy for free and feeling really good! Some people practice very diligently and can feel the flow of Qi, but the energy is constantly flowing out; when their physical body becomes weak, symptoms appear.

This is not alarmist, I am just telling you the real inside story. Many people who suffer from cancer or other illnesses think that qigong is mild and just a good exercise, but in fact it is an act of accelerating their death! Moreover, many people who teach qigong have connections with evil spirits; therefore, they promote qigong so vigorously. This is the devil’s trick!

⑶. Yoga

A Christian’s testimony:

People report weight loss, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being through yoga; but less often discussed is the fact that yoga can lead to the intrusion of evil spirits. In fact, every movement of yoga is a Hindu ritual to worship evil spirits, which will attract ghosts to possess you.

Christians Beware! A small number of people who believe in Jesus only practice yoga once or twice, which opens a way for evil spirits. This connects themselves with the devil’s spirit and allows them to be controlled by the evil spirit without any warning.

7. Mysticism (Tantra)

Testimony from Pastor Philip Mantofa:

When I was studying in Singapore, I found a book about mysticism in a bookstore. It taught how to obtain the power hidden within people. I longed for this kind of power, so I followed the steps. In the process of learning, sitting in meditation, and clearing my mind, I had been possessed by an evil spirit without realizing it. One time, my soul left my body and I saw my own body, and I was very proud of myself! Little did I know that this was the work of the evil spirit, which had made me its captive and was destroying my soul and body.

After a few months, many strange phenomena occurred! When the dog in the dormitory saw me, it cried and wailed as if it had seen a ghost. When I am angry, I can still control it at first, but if I continue to be angry and it reaches the extreme, my memory will suddenly disappear; when I wake up, I will see 5 to 10 people lying on the ground, covered with bruises. When someone asked me, “Why did you hit him so fiercely just now?”, I realized what I had done.

It turns out that what the book said was right. When I practiced according to its methods, I gained a mysterious power and won every fight. No matter how tall my opponent was, I seemed to be invulnerable to swords and guns, and I was not afraid of being hit by sticks and I didn’t feel anything! It turned out that it was a supernatural power from the devil, caused by evil spirit possession.
